Updated Complaints!

Dear Students,
Instead of using the complaints and big ideas listhost, SG has decided to switch both features over to the Forum.
The forum has a number of advantages to the current form (which work by sending emails of the complaints to a listhost), for one it allows there to be a record of our conversations for future reference. This record also holds SG accountable if we’re not getting back to you about your questions.
To post everyone must register, which anyone anyone with a valid email can do. But if you want COMPLETE anonymity (which was afforded by the old system), you can sign up using a dummy account we’ve created just for that purpose (there are rules associated with this account so its not just a free ride).
Another crucial method of feedback is also the blog, which lets you respond to our ideas and plans in real time, to allow for better feedback. What the blog doesn’t do is create an easy record of those conversations which can be stored for future students. The forum, though, allows for dialog which can easily be indexed, categorized, and displayed. Its a means used by many IT companies for customer support, and the hope is it can work in this new role as well.
We’ve also left the old Complaints system in place for complaints which are personal or private, i.e. they couldn’t be displayed on the forum. You can still find it here and here. You need a uchicago email to submit a complaint.
Post your feedback on this idea, maybe the old system was the way to go?
