William Walker, Leso Munala, Chris Williams and I just had a meeting about the UPASS where we talked about what our next steps should be for getting the UPASS at the SSA.

William agreed to arrange a meeting with SSA SGA, SG, Dean Marsh and Brian Shaw, Director of Transportation to discuss the costs and feasibility of implementing the UPASS as SSA. I spoke with Assistant Vice President Bill Michel about the issue, and he wondered if Dean of Students Penny Johnson should be at such a meeting as well, or perhaps instead of Dean Marsh.

I agreed to work with the University Administration to determine what other members of the administration may need to be involved to work out the financial aspect of such a project.

After a meeting with the appropriate SSA Deans, Brian Shaw, Students, and other relevant actors, SSA will set up a town hall meeting on the UPASS. Our goal is to have a binding referendum on the UPASS at the SSA for the spring Student Government elections. Please contact me if you have any questions.
