Airport Shuttle
The Shuttle will run on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of finals week. Registration is now open. The times are:

Why aren’t there any late afternoon/evening shuttles for Thursday and Friday of finals week (like shuttles after 2pm)? Most people leave Chicago throughout the day on Friday or Saturday morning. I would use the airport shuttle but my flight leaves 7:30pm on Friday.

We use the same vans and service as the late night shuttles (we get a better deal this way).
That means all the shuttles need to be back on campus by early evening.

It would be really helpful if the early morning times (5 or 6 AM) were offered on Thursday, too. If you can only have one shuttle that day, it may be better to go earlier so more people can use it.

Hey Anna, that is definitely something we are evaluating this quarter, unfortunately it is difficult to predict whether early shuttles will be fully utilized. It is also a bit too late to change, as our funding committee has ceased meeting for the quarter. However we are hoping the ridership for this shuttle indicates that we need to add more on Thursday next quarter.

So how long does it take to get to Midway by van? If I have a flight leaving at 7:40am Saturday, would it be too risky to take the 6am shuttle?

An hour is about what it takes, we’re estimating.
But there’s no guarantee. And I would be careful about getting to the airport with less than 45 minutes to go.
I’ve heard they’re not letting people check after that deadline. So if you’re checking bags or don’t know how to check in online, I would be careful.
