Student Government is responsible for allocating approximately $2.2 million in support of student life and student organizations.
On April 20, 2016, the SG Executive Committee announced a budget recommendation for the 2016-2017 academic year. This recommendation consisted of the framework for a budget proposal, which would increase funding for arts groups, academic teams, RSOs, and other student organizations in addition to devoting substantially more funding to graduate students.
