Faculty Board: Computing Activities and Services

September 2009 Categorized Under: Committees No Comments

The Board of Computing Activities and Services (BCAS) raises concerns expressed by their colleagues about the University’s support of campus-wide computing, including administrative systems, desktop computing, and maintenance and upgrading of the network. It also reviews policies implemented by Networking Services and information Technologies to ensure that they protect the University’s interests and safeguard instructional and research computing. As a University statutory board, BCAS exists to ensure that University-wide resources are being managed in a way that furthers the academic mission of the University. BCAS members act in an advisory capacity to the Provost and serve at his invitation.

Deadline: October 5th.
