Chair of the Coalition of Academic Teams (CAT)

We are seeking a Chair for the Coalition of Academic Teams (CAT) for the 2016-2017 academic year. CAT is the primary source of funding for its five member organizations: Chess, ChoMUN/Team, College Bowl, Debate, and Mock Trial. For the 2016-2017 academic year, CAT's budget will be $230,486.

Over the upcoming year, we're excited to strengthen the relationship between SG and CAT. The CAT Chair will help provide administrative support for academic teams, particularly on financial matters. The Chair will work with the Director of Finance in order to create and standardize reporting measures for the CAT budget and member organizations. Applicants for CAT Chair should have experience in an RSO (but not necessarily an academic team), an interest in budgets, and be highly collaborative and detail-oriented. Above all, chairs should value the impact academic teams have on student life at UChicago. Expected workload should be 5-10 hours a week.

To apply, prepare responses to the following two questions and submit them, along with a resume, by Sunday, July 3rd at 11:59 PM. Resumes should be emailed to uofc.sg@gmail.com with the subject "CAT Chair Resume."
