Chair of the Student Government Finance Committee
We are seeking a Chair for the Student Government Finance Committee (SGFC) for the 2016-2017 academic year. Along with Annual Allocations and Summer SGFC, the Student Government Finance Committee disburses the largest segment of the Student Activities Fee for RSO use.
Over the upcoming year, we're excited to begin working towards providing copious resources to student organizations. Some of the issues we plan to work with SGFC on include streamlining the RSO funding process, coordinating with other student funding pots to ensure campus-wide events are funded adequately, and updating the funding code and guidelines. Applicants for Chair of SGFC should have experience in an RSO, familiarity with the RSO funding processes, and a passion for improving the experience of students and student organizations. Ideally, the chair would begin work in the summer with the Summer Fund.
