IT Advisory Board (ITAB)
The IT Advisory Board (ITAB) was established to provide a forum for students of all affiliations to share their thoughts and ideas about the way information technology is implemented at the University of Chicago. Topics covered are those of interest and importance to students, including the University’s overarching IT strategy. Open communication about topics chosen by the students is an important component of assuring that information technology services at the University meet the needs of students. Additional topics and agenda items may be brought by Student Government as well as the Associate VP and Chief Information Technology Officer of the University of Chicago. ITAB seeks a variety of students, including those who are interested in the overall vision and plans of IT Services, those who have specific areas of concern, and also those with a technology-background who are interested in more technical or design aspects. Student Government will oversee the group and ensure that the Associate VP and Chief Information Technology Officer attends the meetings, listens to student feedback, answers questions, addresses concerns, ands works with the group to create IT solutions that fully address students’ most pressing concerns.
