Chair of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Committee (SAAP)

We are seeking a Chair for the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Committee (SAAP) for the 2016-2017 academic year. This committee will serve as a funding channel for the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, as well as a hub for on-campus programming throughout the year.

Among the areas the Committee will explore are Title IX compliance, RSO outreach, and funding for programming and University offices (i.e. RSVP). The Committee will collect and synthesize student feedback, develop relationships with administrators, research services at other colleges and universities, and publish reports on their findings. They will work with the Executive Slate and the College and Graduate Councils and collaborate with administrators to improve student life at UChicago.

The Chair will be responsible for guiding the work of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention "Committee. Since the committee will be in its first fully year, this will require drive and self-motivation. An attention to detail is necessary, in addition to an interest in working on both undergraduate and graduate student issues. The Chair will work closely with the Vice President for Student Affairs. The expected workload should be five to ten hours per week.

To apply, prepare responses to the following two questions and submit them, along with a resume, by Sunday, July 3rd at 11:59 PM. Resumes should be emailed to uofc.sg@gmail.com with the subject "SAAP Chair resume."
