Undergraduate Liaison to the Board of Trustees

We are seeking applicants to serve as Student Government's Undergraduate Liaison to the Board of Trustees for the 2015-2016 school year. The Undergraduate Liaison to the Board of Trustees is an important role that serves in the Executive Committee to strengthen the student body's connection to UChicago's Board of Trustees. The Liaison represents the student body to the Board, and works to get students connect students with individual Board members through quarterly luncheons. The Liaison attends the quarterly meeting of a Board subcommittee on campus and student life, and may use this time to raise issues to the attention of the Board.

While this position is generally voted upon in the spring SG elections, the Liaison elected in spring 2015 has stepped down to pursue an internship downtown. To be eligible to serve as the Liaison, students must not be studying abroad during this academic year and must be able to dedicate 5-10 hours of work per week to the position..

To apply, prepare responses to the following two questions and submit them along with a resume by 11:59pm on Monday, November 30th. Resumes should be emailed to uofc.sg@gmail.com with subject line "Undergrad BoT Liaison resume." Once applications have been received, select candidates will speak before the College Council. The new Liaison will be elected by majority vote of the College Council.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
