Learn About: UChicago Student Life Committees

One way in which Student Government voices student needs is through seating students on various committees across campus. Primarily, there are two types of committees--funding committees that fund student events and student life on campus and those that aim to improve various aspects of student life. SG has 10 standing committees to which it seats both SG representatives and non-SG students. These standing committees are run by SG and include the Student Government Finance Committee (SGFC), the Committee on Recognized Student Organizations (CORSO), the Uncommon Fund, and Annual Allocations. SG also seats SG and non-SG students on several external committees which include the Campus Dining Advisory Board (CDAB) and the Independent Review Committee for the UCPD (IRC). To learn more, visit commitees.uchicago.edu.
