College Council

Each graduating class in the College elects four students to the College Council. Representatives serve on a wide variety of committees and work on issues of personal interest ranging from transportation to campus health services.

The Council elects a chair among its members who serves as a member of the Executive Committee.

 

Chair

Peggy is a fourth year in the College double majoring in Classical Studies and Law, Letters & Society. On campus, she writes for the Undergraduate Law Review, serves on the UCSC Advisory Board, runs an underground supper club, and works as a tour guide in the admissions office. She is a fan of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, awkward mockumentaries, and the resplendent Chicago food scene.

Qudsiyyah is a second year pursuing the pre-medical curriculum and planning on majoring in either Public Policy or Comparative Human Development. On campus she is a part of the Organization of Black Students, United Against Inequities in Disease, and the Women's Rugby team. She is obsessed with cheese, power naps, and her Diva Cup.

Class of 2017

Louisa Richardson-Deppe is a fourth year Sociology major in the College. In addition to College Council and SG committees, Louisa is the President of Motet Choir, a member of the Women in Public Service Program, and works as a barista and communications coordinator for Ex Libris Cafe and the Student Run Coffee Shop Program. A power lady from Minnesota, Louisa is a huge fan of her UPass but loves Lake Michigan even more.

Alice is a third year in the college majoring in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies. She is in Phoenix Survivors Alliance and is the chair of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Committee. You may see her around campus eating cake or keeping a detailed bunny journal.

Some of Kosi's hobbies include stanning for Beyonce and fawning over Michelle Obama.
